Posting Details Position Information Position TitleDiagnostic Medical Imaging (DMI) Clinical Coordinator, Full-Time FacultyRequisition NumberFAC00579General DescriptionDiagnostic Medical Imaging (DMI) Clinical Coordinator focuses on developing, implementing, and overseeing clinical education, ensuring accreditation for JRCERT, managing affiliate sites, evaluating students, while instruction in classroom preparing competent professionals for healthcare settings. This applicant will also be teaching at least 2-3 courses and labs per semester in addition to clinical coordinator responsibilities. The Diagnostic Medical Imaging Program is to prepare individuals in the judicious use of ionizing radiation in both diagnostic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures. This is accomplished by the application of knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and osteology; in the skillful positioning of the client-patient; the selection of correct technical factors; the proper handling and manipulation of radiation producing equipment; the utilization of accepted radiation protection procedures; and the processing of the image in preparation for diagnostic interpretation.College IntroCommunity College of Philadelphia is an open-admission, predominantly Black institution and a minority-serving institution which provides access to higher education for all who may benefit. As a minority-serving institution, CCP faculty contribute significantly to our collective efforts to improve student success and eliminate racial equity gaps through the utilization of inclusive and high-quality teaching practices.Specific Responsibilities- Correlate and coordinate clinical education with didactic education and evaluate its effectiveness.
- Participate in didactic and/or clinical instruction.
- Support the Program Director to assure effective program operations.
- Participate in the accreditation and assessment processes.
- Maintain current knowledge of the professional discipline and educational methodologies through continuing professional development.
- Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures, and student progress.
- Maintain good organization and proficient in Microsoft outlook, shared drives, word, and excel.
- Responsible for maintaining all clinical curriculum assessments and outcomes on our Medhub E-value software platform throughout the duration of the semester.
- Create the clinical rotation schedule and input into E-Value for all students and Clinical Instructor faculty.
- Maintain relationships with all 10 main clinical affiliates including managers and preceptors.
- Maintain daily updates on all student attendance and competencies.
- Review and release weekly and monthly evaluations of students and clinical affiliations.
- Curriculum advising for both level 1 and 2 students.
- Mid-semester meeting with all Clinical Instructors.
- Summer sessions of one day rotations at clinical affiliations meeting with preceptors and students.
- Continual assessment and supervision of E-value throughout both summer sessions.
- Create and submit all schedules and student binders on a shared electronic drive.

- Assessment: Full participation in the assessment of student learning and student learning outcomes at the course, program, and institution levels.
- Student Success: Strive for excellence in teaching, applying best practices in discipline, and modeling behaviors that encourage student success and retention. Utilize innovative teaching strategies and technologies for online learning and other technology tools to meet the learning needs of a diverse student population. Maintain office hours to meet with students outside of the classroom and respond to questions or concerns.
- Leadership and Development: Commitment to professional learning and growth, student mentoring, and service to the profession. Remain current in the use of technology, developments within the field of discipline, and developments related to teaching and student success.
Minimum Qualifications- At minimum a bachelor’s degree is required.
- Understanding of curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and academic advising.
- At least two (2) years’ clinical experience in professional discipline required.
- At least one (1) year experience in clinical or didactic instruction.
- Must hold current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification and registration, or equivalent, in radiography.
Preferred Qualifications- Demonstrated experience teaching diverse student populations preferred.
- Demonstrated experience teaching within a community college preferred.
- Bilingual or other language proficiency preferred.
